This is the first of 2 pieces for this listing. This piece is a Niassa Ruby and Natural Zircon Double Halo ring in Platinum over Sterling Silver. It is a size 10 with a total carat weight of 9.70.
There won't be a huge write-up for these pieces because we didn't have to go on an investigation to get them. Rather, we had an in with somebody who is associated with a group called the Society of the Pyre. This is a group that existed for thousands of years, at least since the times of the Sumerians and possibly before that.
The first recording of the Society of the Pyre comes from pictures that were carved into a tablet that the society created in ancient times. This society still has these tablets. While there is not a specific translation for these tablets, it says something about the brotherhood for the slaying of vampires. This came about because evidently because one of the daughters of one of the original founding members of the Society of the Pyre was wooed by a vampire who had taken the form of a man. She was lured out into the woods and killed at night.
Since those that time, the Society of the Pyre was launched into existence with the sole purpose of their existence being to eradicate as many of these vampires as they possibly could. Through the centuries, the members of the Society have put together something called the Book of the Vampire. This book outlines, in detail, every single type of vampire that has ever existed. Some of them are still in existence and some of them are not.
The book is very specific in the name and type of each vampire, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and what powers they each have. There is a cache of weaponry that has been compiled over the year that holds sacred weapons that can be used to kill or paralyze certain types of vampires. For instance, there is a stake that holds the essence of holy water that can be used to kill a sanguine vampire. There is an arrow made with moonrock that can kill vampires. There are others, those are just two examples.
The reason they are called the Society of the Pyre is that after each kill, a giant fire is created and the body of the slain vampire is incinerated. The ashed are then collected and kept in special files that are dated and labeled as to the kinds of vampires they correspond to. These ashes are then used to created metaphysical pieces that embody the power and the magic of the type and kind of vampire they belong to. These pieces are then distributed to the members of the Society of Pyre so they can embody these powers and have a one-up on the vampires they are hunting.
While we don't condone the murder of any type, we aren't going to suggest that these pieces are powerful. I mean they are made with the ash of actual vampires. That's why we have two of them. The ashes have been worked into the metal part of the ring and the stone holds the energies to activate it. These rings actually hold was is called the Universal Ash. This is a compilation of the ashes of many different types of vampires.
These ashes work in concert with one another to open up a portal through which any type of vampire can be summoned. When summoning the vampire you will receive what is called it's "bite" even if they aren't the type to bite in the first place. The bite refers to a metaphysical awakening that you will receive when using this piece that will inject the DNA of whatever type of vampire you have summoned into your own. You will thereby receive the essence of this type of vampire, its powers, skills, magical abilities, etc. It is like a small piece of you actually becomes that type of vampire.
You need to do some homework with these pieces. You need to do your research and find out what kind of vampire you would like to conjure to receive its bite. Different vampires have different types of powers and abilities. Some vampires have some powers and other vampires do not. You just need to make sure you are aware of what you are dealing with and what they can do for you that way you are using your piece most effectively. You can use this piece as many times as you want. Again, we have two of them that have been made by the Society of the Pyre.
