Déjà visité, the Reaper's Gift

In today's culture most people see the Grim Reaper as a ghastly creature that they should be afraid of.  They believe that he causes bad luck or death.  This is simply not true.  The Grim Reaper, who is the spirit of death, has one simple task.  This task is to collect the souls of people who have already be predestined to die.  This doesn't even mean that he is ushering them off to total death.  A lot of times people don't even die when they are collected by the Grim Reaper.  Sure they die to the people that are immediately surrounding them.  Their current physical body will become lifeless, but their soul is taken away by the Grim Reaper only to begin the cycle all over again.  It's called reincarnation.

These days there are many new souls going into new corporeal vessel.  There are also new many new bodies who are receiving recycled souls.  The Reaper is given a job to do.  He either delivers the soul to the afterlife, or he delivers them to another life cycle.  You see, God likes to give people as many chances as he can.  This is why he gives some souls many different chances to redeem themselves.  In doing so, he gives them new flesh so they can start over.  He gives this flesh a new memory and allows the soul to start over again, without any memory of ever being in any other places.  This will all come back to the person when they again reach the soul level, but while they are human, it is mostly blocked from them.  

Every once in a while you will have somebody who is so spiritually inclined that they are able to recognize places from their past life.  It's kind of like Deja Vu, but it is called Deja Visite.  In French this phrase literally translates to already visited.  This is your soul speaking through your subconscious, human mind.  It is telling you, "Wait, I've been here before!"  This is because you mostly likely have been.  

Not so long ago, I was tasked with delivering food to one of my sick relatives in the hospital.  The thing is that I actually really hate hospitals.  The are filled with souls that have died in despair, some in agony.  Being an empathic, hospitals aren't pleasant places for me.  What can I say?  Myaunty needed to eat; so I took her some food.  She enjoyed it, but on my way out I got into the wrong elevator.  It took me to the basement.  I have to admit I was bit creeped out.  I figured this was going to be a pretty routine stop and I didn't have a protection piece on me at all.  I tried the buttons in the elevator, to try to get me back up to the floor I was supposed to be on.  Those hospitals are always so complicated. The ground floor is supposed to be the floor on the ground, right?  If it's a basement, call it a basement!!  So, I was supposed to be on the second floor, I guess.  I don't know. 

What I do know is that I was frantically pressing buttons because I wanted to be back up on top.  I didn't like the energy in the air on the "ground" floor and that's probably because that's where the hospital kept the morgue.  It said so in big red letters.  The elevator refused to cooperate, so I left the cart to go find the stairs.  Of course, as soon as I step out of the elevator it closes and goes back up to where I was supposed to be at.  SO there I am, in a basement, which is very dimly let.  I could barely see.  I know, I'll pull out my cell phone.  Wrong!! It was on 7% and wouldn't let me start my flashlight.  Great!!  Out of the corner of my eye I saw something move.  I don't normally get freaked out by these things, because I'm accustom to them; but I'm right close to a morgue and I have no idea what is hanging around in there.  

From the corner of my eye I saw a shadow shift again and the hair on my arms stood up.  I called out into the room, mind you it was about one in the morning.  It was like graveyard shift times.  At first nothing, so I called out again, demanding that whomever was there should show themselves to me.  Well, be careful what you wish for, right? In the next instant, I'm standing nose to nose-- well more like nose to chest-- with the Grim Reaper.  Apparently he had come here to harvest his souls that were waiting.  I guess I had interfered or something.  I looked up and saw his glowing green eyes shining back down at me.  In that instant, I could remember those eyes.  I could remember doing this all before.  It's hard to say exactly what I was seeing, it was very confusing.  The Reaper only stayed a few seconds, just long enough for me to identify him mentally.  For a minute I thought maybe the elevator had crashed and I was a goner, but as soon as the Reaper vanished, I heard the elevator ding.  The opening of the elevator door cast light upon the floor and I saw this piece sitting on the floor in the exact spot that the Reaper had just been standing.  I stuff it in my pocket and scuttled over to the elevator.  There was no way I was missing it again.  This time the elevator worked perfectly.  

When I got to the top there was a security guard who was giving me crap about how I can't be down there blah, blah, blah.  Well, trust me, I didn't want to be down there.  I hurried out of the hospital and went home.  It didn't take much testing to figure out the powers in this piece.  That's because they are very potent.  It's like you sit down with this piece they powers immediately comes to you.  That's the only way I can describe.  At least, that's how it worked for me.  When using this piece, my soul was taken from my body and I was able to hold the knowledge of all of my past lives.  I could see from my very first spiritual inception, where I was given my first flesh body, all the way through to my current existence.  I was able to see once that I was a native American.  I was also a magician in one of my lives and a Mayan warrior in another.  God had recycled my souls back to the mortal realm for some reason or another.
