It was in the year 1798 the Napolean Bonaparte, perhaps the most influential French leader, embarked on a military expedition of Egypt. He was drawn in mostly by the mystique of the Pharaohs and the Pyarmids. In fact, Napolean was extremely influential in the development of what is now known as Egyptology.
