There was an original coven of witches on Earth, converged because of the onslaught of the Christian Church on their presence and their sisters. The coven included warlocks, but woman witches were held as the supreme rulers. Sorry men, but that's just how it was. Witches were considered holy because only they were able to birth the next generation of witches. Although prior to the original coven witches roamed together in groups, it wasn't until the convergence of the what is called the Original Coven that hundreds of witches came together to battle back against the purges that were going in Europe that eventually spread to the Americas. They entrusted to lead them 12 elders who were the eldest in their midst. These elders created something called the Cat's Cradle, wherein all of their powers and magic were combined and only the people who knew how to open this box could access them. The reason it was called the Cat's Cradle is that each of the 12 Elders took a pitch-black cat as her familiar. This led to a string game that became popular in later years and children didn't even know that the origianl Cat's Cradle game was performed by those seeking to open the "box" where these ancient powers were stowed. It was believed that a certain sleight of hand involved string would allow them to peek inside.
Instead, the powers set inside of these 12 rings is the key that opens the doors to the Cat's Cradle. The Cat's Cradle isn't exactly a box or container at all. It's more like an ascension or an awareness that will be given to those who are able to access it. The original 12 elders created 12 fancy signet rings. These rings aren't nearly as fancy, but they do the same thing as the original 12 and give access to this ancient collection of witch powers and magic. When you own this piece, you will be able to write down the spells that you want to be created and the magic and power of the Cat's Cradle will cast it for you, because when you wear the ring, you hold the authority.
Having said all that, these rings are actually cool looking, just not as valuable as the original, which were kept by the person who originally did the investigation and surfaced the rings. These rings are adjustable and they are vintage. The stones are really cool looking and the spells that you can cast using one of them are phenomenal in power. We have 12 of them!!
