This piece holds energies that were placed into it at Chitzen Itza and the Great Temple of Kukulcan. The temple is visited by a great serpent of knowledge named Gucamatz twice per year-- once during the Spring Equinox and once during the Autumnal Equinox, when the great veil between the living and dead is dropped.
During this time and on this day only, people can seek favors and ask for wishes to be granted. Gucamatz is a god of the people and so he is likely to grant the requests that he receives for the simple fact that he loves making people happy!
